Obituary:
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Frances Everhart, 71, Saturday morning, May 26 from the Methodist Church in Canton with the Rev. Holman Cowherd in charge.
Frances Willey Everhart was born to Hender Wesley and Mary Jane Lamont Willey at Marcus, Cherokee, Iowa December 26, 1890. She was married to Clell Harrison Everhart on 10/30/1906 in Marcus where they continued to live until they moved to Wichita, Kansas. They moved to a farm north of Canton in 1912, later moving into Canton. She was a member of the Canton Methodist Church and VFW Auxiliary. She died from cancer at her home on May 23.
Surviving her are six daughters, Mrs. Mary Williams of Derby, Iowa, Mrs. Dorothy Wika and Betty Ann Everhart of Canton, Mrs. Edna Ruth Houger of Park Rapids, Minn., Mrs. Grace Jones of Valentine, Neb., and Mrs. Nina Baney of Sioux Falls; four sons, Floyd of Granada Hill, Calif., Ted and Leonard of Los Angeles and Lee of Canton; twenty-eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a sister Mrs. Myrtle Benedict of Marcus, Cherokee, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Robert.
Pallbearers were Clark Baird, Allen Stearns, Lewis Oakland, Virgil Glenn, Lloyd Haisch and Kenneth Hansen. Interment was in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
