Died at her home at Pearl City three miles south of Cincinnati, Iowa, on Wednesday, Feb.25, 1903. Mrs. Adelia, wife of H.B. Fox , Age 64 years and 8 days.
A severe attack of La Grippa with the setting in of lung trouble and old heart disease besides other complications soon called her to the home beyond where sickness and sorrow never come. She took bad Sunday evening. Monday evening Dr. J.M. Sturdivant was called and pronounced her a very sick patient. She grew worse with every hours. Dr. C.S. James was called in as council on Wednesday and he said as Dr. Sturdivant had already told us that there could be no help for her and soon she would be no more. At about 3:45 p.m. she passed to the golden shore of that home beyond that is prepared for those who follow their Master's will. She had been a member of the M.E. Church for nearly 40 years and she passed away as she had always lived peacefully and calmly she reposed in the long sleep of death. She leaves an aged husband and four daughters, as follows: Mrs. J.C. Steele of Omaha, Mo., Mrs. W.M. Fowler, Unionville, Mo., Mrs. J.F. May, Republic, Wash., Mrs. J.H. Stickler, Cincinnati, Iowa, and three sons, J.F., Henry and William Skinner, besides hundred of other relatives and friends to mourn her unexpected death. Funeral was preached in the Mendota church by the Rev. Walker on Thursday and she was laid to rest by the companion of her early life in the cemetery on the hill south of Mendota. Her first husband, I.R. Skinner, died May 23, 1880.

1st marriage to Isaac Richard Skinner. Married 15 MAY 1856 in Appanoose County, IA at the Isaac Fuller Jr. residence.

2nd marriage to Hugh B. Fox. Married 18 JUL 1884 in Centerville, IA.

Kind father, yes and mother dear
Both are gently sleeping here.
Your loving voice is stilled in death
And spirits gone to rest sweet rest.
