THE MARRIAGE of Miss Rose Heath of this city and A. W. Kartchner of Provo, and Miss Emma Cahoon of Rexburg Ida., and Fred Heath. Jr. of Sugar City, Ida., took place in the Temple yesterday. A reception was given in the evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Heath for the relatives and close friends of the bride and groom. Mr. and Mrs. Heath will make their home in Sugar City. Ida., and Mr. and Mrs. Kartchner in Provo.

Well-Known Woman of Provo Dies
Rose Heath Kartchner, 87, died Wednesday afternoon at her home, 288 N. 300 W., Provo, of causes incident to age.

A well-known, long-time Provo resident, Mrs Kartchner had been active in church and civic circles and for a long time was one of Utah Valley's best-known vocalists.

Mrs. Kartchner was born Oct. 21, 1881 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Frederick George and Henrietta Haigh Heath.

She received her early education in the Salt Lake schools, including LDS High School.

She married Asael Wain Kartchner Dec 19, 1906 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They madetheir home on Provo Bench for a time, then moved to Sugar City, Ida., where Mr. Kartchner operated a store. In 1914 they returned to Provo where she since had resided. Mr. Kartchner died Oct. 21, 1915.

Tabernacle Choir
Active in the Republican Party, Mrs. Kartchner served as a registration agent for Voting District 26 for many years. She was an early soprano soloist in the Salt Lake Tabernacle Choir and sang at numerous funerals and church, civic and political gatherings in Utah.

She held many offices In the Primary, YWMIA, and Relief Society of the Fourth Ward and as chorister for many years.

Mrs. Kartchner also was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Alice Louise Reynolds Club and Alpha Club.

Five Children
Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Alma H. Kartchner, Palo Alto, Calif.; Ray W. Karichner, Bountiful; Dr. Fred D. Kartchner, Provo; Mrs. D. V, (Ethel) Tregeagle, Provo; and Mrs. Marion E. (Ruth) Hammond, Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Wayne (Allene) Slaughter, Pocatello.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel in Provo. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday prior to services. Burial will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Salt Lake City.
