John Ander Foskey, 61, died Thursday, February 7, 2008, at his home.
The Wheeler County, Shiloh City, Georgia, native has resided in Evans County for most of his life. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He was an avid antique dealer.
Ander was preceded in death by his parents, Viene and Eulie Foskey.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Barrow Foskey of Claxton; two sons and daughter-in-law, Abe and Foskey of Claxton, and Dwayne Randle of Temple, GA; one daughter, Chona Dyess of Claxton; three brothers, Harold Foskey of Collins, Perry Hearn of Millen and Terry Hearn of Louisiana; two grandchildren, Nevan Dyess and Ayla Foskey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers were Josh Reynolds, Tracey Driggers, Sammy Driggers, Tommy Sapp, Kevin Hendrix, and Hyle Vliett.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 10, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gatus Cheatham officiating. Interment followed in the Brewton Cemetery.
Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home, Claxton, Evans Co., GA was in charge of arrangements.
