Born Aug. 31, 1928, in Joliet to William Edward and Amy Larson Zorn, he married Mary Margaret Meyer on Oct. 13, 1970, in Bloomington. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald of Bloomington and G. William of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Debbie) Martin of Peoria and Mrs. Mark (Diana) Huffman of Washington; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, William of Chicago Ridge; and one sister, Elizabeth Senese of the Chicago area.
An Illinois State Trooper for 26 years, he retired from District 8 in Germantown Hills in 1984. He was a U.S. Marshal at the Federal courthouse in Peoria.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the AD Bowling League.
He was an Army veteran.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
