Kenneth Edgar Stauffer, 88, formerly of Hanover, entered into God's care on Thursday, February 12, 2009, at the Brethren Home Community. He was the husband of Dorothy Millheim Stauffer, who passed away in 2002. Born April 5, 1920, in Codorus Township, he was the son of the late Edgar and Elizabeth (Wolfgang) Stauffer. Ken was a member of Trinity U.C.C., Hanover. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, having served in WWII as an Aerial Engineer in the European and Middle Eastern Theater. Ken was a loyal employee of Hoffman Pattern Shop, Millheim's Pattern Shop, and Mummert's Pattern Shop. He is survived by one sister, Sara Stauffer of Codorus; one daughter, Gail Secrist and spouse, Wilbur Secrist; and one son-in-law, Ron Garman. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kenneth Secrist and spouse, Lori, Donia Stubbs and spouse, Terry, and Ian Stauffer; as well as three greatgrandchildren, Kayla and Heather Secrist, and Kia Stauffer. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra Mills of Seattle, Wash., and Audrey Garman of Jacobus; and one brother, Clyde Stauffer of Codorus.
