Hastings resident, Lucille I. Oxley, 88, previously of 927 North Saunders Avenue died, Friday, July 23, 2010 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska. Lucille was born February 17, 1922 in Oconto, Nebraska to Edward H. & Frances A. (Reining) Kathman.

She was raised south of Lawrence, Nebraska and attended St. Stephen's School through the eighth grade. On September 30, 1940 she married Marvin H. Oxley at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Lucille moved to Hastings at age 17, where she worked cleaning houses and worked at Debus Bakery, Abbott's Dairy, J.M. McDonald Department Stores, and the Hastings Regional Center. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin H. Oxley; infant son, Eugene; brothers, Herman, Bob, Ed, Vernon, and Ralph; three sisters, Vera Kathman, Marie Rosenau, and Martha Rohner; and great-grandson, Dustin Hartford.
