Mr. William Ernest Adams Sr., 4852 Old Farm Court, Woodstock, Georgia, entered into rest Monday, June 15, 1987, in Kennerstone Hospital, Marietta, Georgia. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at National Hills Baptist Church, Augusta, with Charles Byrd and Dr. C.A. Dabney officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park, Augusta. Pallbearers will be Robert Abshire Jr., Robert Kuhlke Jr., Jimmy Watkins, Eddy Young, Colden Storey, Larry Atkins, Johnny Munnell and John Adams Jr. Members of Augusta National Guard Shop and Combined Support Maintenance System will be honorary pallbearers. Mr. Adams was a native of Richmond County and lived three years in Woodstock. He was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church, Marietta, and a technician in the U.S. Army National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn Wood Adams; two sons, William E. Adams Jr., Atlanta, and Kenneth Adams, Martinez; two daughters, Connie Story and Joy Nelson, Harlem; two brothers, George Adams Jr. and Gene Adams, Martinez; and four sisters, Julia Draper, Staten Island, N.Y., Annie Lou Anderson, Grovetown, Mary Kuhlke, Augusta, and Ruby Swaringer, Ringgold.
