Robert Piepenburg, 83, who was well known in this county, died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Otto Rusch, in the town of Charlestown. He lived at Rantoul until 19 years ago, when he went to live with his daughter.
Funeral services will be held from the Rusch home and at the Rantoul Ev. Church the Rev. A. H. Nickell of Brillion officiating. Burial will be in Rantoul cemetery.
Mr. Piepenburg was born Nov. 11, 1854, in Germany and came to America with the family in 1857. The Piepenburgs settled on a farm in Rantoul. In 1874 he married Marie Zahn of Rantoul and she died in 1920.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Emelia Fischer of Brillion and Mrs. Emma Rusch of the town of Charlestown, one son, William of Brillion and two brothers, Frank of Brillion and Albert of Gillett.
