George E. Wilkerson, 89, Dahlgren died Friday March 9, 2007 at his home. He was born May 1, 1917 in Iroquois County, Ill., the son of John G. and Martha Pearl Scrivner Wilkerson. He married Zana Belle Trotter on Oct. 7, 1939 in Morganfield, Ky. Mr. Wilkerson was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife , Zana, of Dahlgren; three sons and daughters in law , Marvin and Donna Wilkerson of Dalgren, Danny and Jennifer Wilkerson of Alpharetta, Ga. and Zane and Cathy Wilkerson of Peyton, Col.; seven grandchildren; six great grandchidren; a sister , Edith Austin of Hudson, Fla.; three brothers John D. Wilkerson of Wayne City; Gene Wilkerson S.C. and Kenneth Wilkerson of Belle Rive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Bill and Glenn Wilkerson. Burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Dahlgren.
