He was born Oct. 24, 1949, in Pence, Wis., and moved to Superior as a boy.
He attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior, where he earned degrees in English literature and communications.
He was best known as a songwriter who performed his original music at many local and regional venues, most recently with the new Orsoni Quartet and Orsoni and Ellie Shoenfeld.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn Hulter; a son, Leo Orsoni of Superior; his mother, Dorothy Orsoni, Superior; a sister, Susan (Wade) Schmidt, of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and a niece and nephew, Sarah and Ryan Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lucien Orsoni Sr.
A memorial service was held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, January 5th, in Downs Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
