VIRGINIA BEACH - Wilmer Overton (Chubby) Alley, 72, of 1030 Mineola drive, Apt. 203, the husband of Mrs. Annie Adair Alley and a native of Camden, N.J. died Thursday at 2 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.

He worked for Ford Motor Co.'s Norfolk Assembly Plant 2 years and retired. He lived here most of his life. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Katherine A. Nethery of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Mrs. Ester A. Augustine and Mrs. Alice A. Darden of Norfolk, and Mrs. Mary A. Fritch of La Marque, Tex.; a brother, Alfred J. Alley of Norfolk; and a grandchild.

A funeral will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, by Dr. John Osberg of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

The family will be at 3232 Manor Glen Court, Virginia Beach, and also at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, Saturday night from 7 to 9.
