Burton Charles Kile, 75, passed away Tuesday, April 17 in Kankakee after a short illness. He had lived in Momence and vicinity all of his life and had resided on the Dixie Highway south of the bridge.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Paul Klose, pastor of the First Baptist church, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the Canaday-Boos funeral home. Burial will be held in Shronts cemetery.
Mr. Kile, a former restaurant operator in Momence, was born Oct. 2, 1875 in Yellowhead township near Momence. He married his wife, Christina, Jan. 27, 1898 in Kankakee.
Survivors include his wife, Christina, three daughters, Mrs. Marie Griffith of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Hazel Strom of Chicago and Mrs. Mildred Landry of Momence; one brother, James Kile of Sylvus, Ill; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Templeton of South Bend, Ind; and one grandchild.
One son, Lawrence, preceded Mr. Kile in death at the age of 19 months.
