Louverna Johnson Tate, 86, of Montross, died Sunday, November 16, 2003. Mrs. Tate was a member of Popes Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Lee Bryant of Montross, and Donald Ray Bryant of Fredericksburg; two daughters Betty B. Mundie of Montross, and Katherine Pauline Wareheim of Miami, Florida; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Ball of Harlan County, Kentucky.
Services were November 19, at Popes Creek Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Reverends Gleaton Rickenbaker and Wade Wilkins officiated.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Donald Lee Bryant, John Chris Bryant, Joshua Aaron Bryant, James Kindrick Bryant, Jimmy Allen Cunningham, Matthew Ryan Mundie and J.D. Hinson.
