Family stories relate that Patsy Eubank Browning was buried in the old Matthews family graveyard which was on the property of Allen Matthews and Lucy Browning, her daughter. She may have gone there for her daughter to care for her when she became ill, and died while there. Her husband, Samuel, chose to be buried with his wife when he died. The Matthews farm was located in the southern part of Barren County where the Barren River Reservoir is now located. It is believed the cemetery was flooded by the creation of the Barren River Lake reservoir.
The Browning family farm was carried on by son, James Eubank Browning, (eldest living son, William Henry, had moved with his family to Texas) and a Browning cemetery exists there where many of Patsy Eubank and Samuel Browning's children and spouses are buried.
