Guide Rock.
Died, April 5th, 1902, Edward Chrisman, son of John D. Chrisman of Beaver creek township. Mrs. Chrisman was born near the town of Tracy in Iowa and was 26 years of age at the time of his death. The immediate cause of death was the rupture of an artery in his head. He wae (sic) just convalescing from measles. The funeral occurred from the Baptist church at this place on Sunday, being one of the largest ever occurring here, the Odd Fellows conducting the services at the grave. Rev. Covert preached the funeral sermon in an earnest and touching address. The remains were laid to rest in the Guide Rock cemetery (sic).
