Belle was a daughter of Isaac T. Akerly and Mary Ann Leach. Belle married 19 Nov. 1873, Scranton, Lackawanna Co. PA. to Allen Dayton Beemer. Her Obit: "Lincoln Star", Lincoln, Nebraska, Aug. 2, 1935, page 1, Col. 3. She was survived by one dau. Luree, Mrs Frederick Ellsworth Beaumont (4 Jul 1885-18 Oct. 1957) buried same cemetery. [I have changed the date of the marriage from 1862 to 1873, per the following references; "The National Cyclopaedia of American Biography", New York; James Terry White & Co., 1927, Vol. 17, p. 23. Also, Allen's obit. in "The Nebraska State Journal", Lincoln, Nebraska, March 29, 1909, p.8, Cols. 3, 4, & 5; which shows only the date of marriage as Nov. 1873.]
The 1860 Census Abington Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, (P. O. Clark's Green) shows Balstora (sic) Ackerley, age 14, living with her parents. The 1870 Census South Abington Twp., Luzerne Co., Penn., shows Balsora Ackerly (sic), age 24, b. Pa. and son Jerome Ackerly, age 2, b. Pa. living with her parents; therefore Jerome was not born in 1860 as shown on West Point, Nebr. records; also he was in Pennsylvania in 1870, so how could he die or be buried in 1869, in West Point, Nebraska? It is said that "Belle" did not marry A.D. Beemer until 1873, when he went to Pennsylvania where he married her and then brought her to West Point, Nebraska to live. I assumed that "Belle" died in Marshall County, Kansas, but am in doubt, as I learned that her granddaughter, Jane N. Beaumont lived in Marysville, Republic Co., Ks. in 1935, and Belle lived with her daughter, Luree (Beemer) Beaumont. when she died in 1935, her obit stating that she died in Marysville, Kans at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frederick Beaumont. The only Marysville I found was in Marshall Co., Ks. I have not been able to confirm her county of death.
