Carl B. Akeman, 78, of Robinson, died Sunday (12 Nov 1978) at Lawrence County Hospital in Lawrenceville. He was born in Crawford County to the late William and Mary Brigham Akeman. He was a retired farmer and Unit 2 school custodian. He was a member of the Robinson Church of Christ and the Farm Bureau where he was a director for several years. He married Iola Lingafelter on 10 Dec 1921 in Robinson. Survivors include his wife; daughter Mrs Doris Day of Evansville, IN; sisters Mrs. Faye Hall of Terre Haute and Mrs. Mae Price of Kansas City, KS; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a brother and four sisters. Burial in M. Pleasant Cemetery.
