Charles Goodwin, 76, was found dead in a barn at his home on R.R. 4, northeast of Lewis Creek, Saturday afternoon. Death was listed as a suicide by hanging by Dr. James Tower, county coroner. Mr. Goodwin had been in failing health for two years. A farmer and one-time employe of the county highway department. Mr. Goodwin had resided at his present home about 38 years. He was born in Noble Township June 29, 1884, a son of Elijah and Demia Goodwin. He was married in 1903 Verna Teltoe who survives. Three children preceded him in death and the only survivor with the widow are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Ewing Mortuary Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Lloyd Poe, assisted by the Rev. Harry Blaich officiating. Burial will be in the Patterson Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary.
