Hilda Ellen Farrer Stewart died January 6, 2001 in Orem, Utah of natural causes.

Hilda was born Jan 10, 1911 in Provo, Ut to John Ernest and Minnie Rasmussen Farrer. She married Scott Paul Stewart, Sr. April 8, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Hilda received her early schooling in Idaho Falls, ID and Provo City Schools. She graduated from Provo High School. She was a stenographer and bookkeeper for Provo City auxiliaries from 1928 through 1931. She has always been active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the auxiliaries as a teacher, counselor and president. She was also a worker at the Provo Temple. Together with her husband she served an LDS mission in the Pittsburgh Penna Mission. Hilda and Paul improved the Timp Haven Ski Area, now Sundance. Her large family was her main joy and concern.

The mother of eight children, she is survived by J. Ernest (Kay) Stewart, Cozette S. (Keith) Jeppson, Nancy S. (Roger) Nielson, Sylvia S. (John) Day, Lynda Stewart, Kristy S. (Hank) Nelson; 50 grandchildren; over 100 great and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, S. Paul Stewart, son, Scott Paul Stewart, Jr,; and daughter, Cheryl Stewart.

Services will be Wed. Jan 10, 2001, 11 a.m. at the Park LDS 8th Ward Chapel, 114 S. 400 W, Orem, UT. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary, 185 E. Center St, Provo Tues. 6-8 p.m. and also Wed one hour prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
