Daughter of Jacob Lee Stansberry and Cora Moody.
Wife of Robert Isaacs.

Maude was raised near Butler. After her father died, she moved with her mother and siblings over the mountain to the Reese/Beaverdam community of North Carolina, to live with her brother, Arthur Moody. She and her mother helped raise Arthur Moody's children.

After her mother died in 1952, she continued to live with her brother, until marrying Robert Isaacs, on May 24, 1954, when she was 33 and Robert was 20. They lived near Boone.

Family stories state that Maude was unable to have children, as after her death and 20 years together, Robert re-married and had children. She was buried next to her mother in the Moody plot of Mountain Dale Church Cemetery.

Maude preceded in death by her parents; and 3 nieces and nephews, Ruby Jones, Norman and Baby Girl Stansberry.

She was survived by her husband; brothers, Stacy Stansberry of Pennsylvania, and Arthur Moody of Beaverdam (Vilas); sisters, Daisy Jones of Zionville, and Dorothy Lunceford of Butler; aunts, Sarah Moody of Beaverdam, Mary Cornell of Montana, Jessie Stansberry of Johnson City, Flossie Stansberry of Vilas, Ettie Stansberry of Washington, Lenos Stansberry of Indiana, and Norma Stansberry of Ohio; uncles, Claude Stansberry of Texas, and Joseph Robinson of Doeville; and 43 nieces and nephews.
