Local Couple Marks 50th anniversary With Open House
Seven children were born to the couple. They are: W. Leroy Ammerman, Mrs. Hazel K. Harnish Williard M. Ammerman, Don W. Ammerman, Paul L. Ammerman, Thomas A.Ammerman, all of Altoona, and John E. Ammerman of New York. There are 15 grandchildrenand five great-grand children.Mrs. Ammerman is the former Laura May Cherry, daughter of George and Ruth Cherry of Bellwood.She has four brothers and
sisters: Robert Cherry of Duncansville,Mrs.Ella Banks of Altoona,Mrs. Anne Lasher of Juniata , and Mrs. Pearl Singleton of Lewistown.
Mr. Ammerman, the son of Maryand John Ammerman of Altoona,
has the following brothers and sisters: Ed Ammerm an of Greenwood,Matt Ammerm an of New Cumberland, Md., Mrs. Laura Becher of Altona, Charles Ammerman of Detroit, Mrs. Sara Hamn a of New York, Mrs. Emma Hecker of Altoona and Mrs. Alice Mathieu of Altoona.
