Services were Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Hill officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Farrar had lived in Booneville for 60 years. He was the owner of Farrar's Beauty Salon on Main Street prior to his retirement. A hair stylist for six decades, he received much recognition and numerous awards for his work. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Donie Farrar, two sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by one son, Bob Farrar and his wife, Brenda, of Houston, Texas; one grandson, Robert Bradford Farrar; two nieces, Linda Boyles of Slidell, La., and Delene Gann of Booneville; and a close friend, Robin Mom d Booneville.
Pallbearers were Marry Barnes, Rodney Barnes, Gary Dunaway, Olen Saylors, Kim Billingsley and Sidney Nicholson
