Deceased Name: Fern A. Jensen-- Farr West, Utah Fern Durfee Jensen, 92, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 19, 1912, in Almo, Idaho, a daughter of Ivan Leo and MaryAnn Cahoon Durfee. Fern married Orson Clyde Bronson on March 7, 1929, in Burley, Idaho. They were later divorced. On March 18, 1944, she married David Leonard Jensen in Burley, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple on March 11, 1966. David preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1982. She was reared and educated in Almo, Idaho, where she lived for 41 years. She lived in Farr West, Utah, for the past 51 years. Fern was a member of The LDS Church. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by family and attending her grandchildren's activities. Fern enjoyed crocheting, doll making, sewing, quilting, textile painting, gardening and fishing.

Surviving are four daughters, NayDean Preston McNeely, Parma, Idaho, Dolores Boyd Booth, Malta, Idaho, Merlie Dale Redford, Ogden, Utah, and Pat Kent Smith, Holbrook, Idaho; 16 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, Mark Patsy Durfee, Spokane, Wash., Joe Linda Durfee, Burley, Idaho, Curtis MaryLou Durfee, Almo, Idaho, Atha Arlo Jones, Dillon, Mont., Beth Jones, Malta, Idaho, Ila Jack Webb, Pocatello, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; parents; brothers, Ivan Leo Jr., Wayne and Ellis; granddaughter, Angela Booth Camacho; and great-grandsons, Marvin Jake Ward and Richard Menlove. A funeral will be held at noon Thursday at the Malta, Idaho, 2nd Ward Chapel, 300 N. 100 W. Friends may call from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Wash. Blvd., North Ogden, Utah, and from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the Ward Chapel. Interment will be at Valley View Cemetery, Malta, Idaho. E-mail condolences to the family at [email protected]
