She was born Jan. 3, 1907, in Hazel to Luppe and Gesine (Musker) Geiken, and was raised in the Watertown area where she attended school. At age 9 she moved with her family to the Faith area where she attended school.
She married Phillip Bachman Sept. 21, 1925, at Faith. They ranched south of Faith until they retired in 1966, then moved to Faith. She moved to Westhills Village in Rapid City this past April.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Senior Citizens and was a 58-year member of South Country Club.
Survivors include three sons, Bernard and Leonard Bachman of Rapid City and Ronald Bachman of Faith; two sisters, Martha (Mrs. Gene) Lund of Faith and Cora Webb of Inglewood, Calif; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976 and a sister, Christine Todd.
