Violet Adamson, nee Chadderton, 78, of Belleville, Ill., died Tuesday, January 14, 1992 at Calvin Johnson Nursing Home in Belleville.
She was a retired clerk at Eckert's Grocery Store in Belleville.
Preceded in death by her husband, David Adamson; parents, James and Florence, nee Beardsmore, Chadderton; two brothers, Vernon and James Chadderton.
Surviving are her son, David Adamson; granddaughter, Jamie Adamson; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Eva Chadderton of Belleville; sister-in-law, Marguerite Chadderton of Belleville; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, at the Pete Gaerdner Funeral Home in Belleville, with Rev. Eugene Leckrone officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
