Topeka State Journal Saturday, 27 Nov., 1971: pg. 25:

Jacob Shannon Anderson, 92, 2015 E. 10th, died Friday in a Topeka convalescent center where he had been since July.
He was born Jan. 20, 1879 south of Oneida and spent most of his life in that Nemaha County community. He lived in Oneida from 1958 until 1971 when he moved to Topeka.
He had attended the United Methodist Church at Oneida. He formerly taught in rural schools and was a farmer before he retired in 1958.
Mr. Anderson was a director of the Nemaha County Farm Bureau many years and was instrumental in organizing the Nemaha County Cooperative Creamery at Sabetha and was chairman of the board 31 years.
He also helped organize the Kansas State Dairy Products Assn., and served as its president several years. He had been a member of the Nemaha County Agricultural Stabilization Committee.
He was a member of Oneida Lodge No. 323, AF&AM, IOOF Lodge, and Rebekah Lodge, all at Oneida, and had been a member of the former Order of Eastern Star chapter at Oneida.
He was married to Nora Edith Hamler in 1901 at Manhattan. She died in 1958.
Survivors include two sons, Lynn Anderson, Columbus, Ohio, and Ralph Anderson, Holton; a daughter, Mrs. Jeannette King, Topeka; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at the United Methodist Church at Oneida with burial in the Oneida Cemetery. Popkess Mortuary at Sabetha is in charge of arrangements.
