Daughter of Thomas & Frances Smith Timmons. She is the granddaughter of General James Smith who gave land for the courthouse in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas, and for whom Smith County, Texas is named.

For years, Barsheba Ann was thought to be buried near her parents, grandparents and 2 uncles and a sister near the Courthouse in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas. A plaque is at that site with her name on it and a ? for her death, but that size of grave is too small for a woman. She is actually buried in the Pine Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
