Charles Loper 83, Dies Tuesday
Charles Edward Loper 83 of 514 1/2 Dorr St, retired real estate broker and cattle buyer, printer in Antigo many years ago, died Tues night. Mr Loper had been employed as printer for the Antigo Daily Journal. At one time managed the Weekly News Item, published by WH Dawley and the Antigo Republican, published by John A Ogden in Antigo: For several years he operated a job printing office in the Langlade National bank bulding. The deceased was born Apr 11 1879 at Medford Wis, the son of Mr & Mrs Charles V Loper. On March 12 1902 he was married at Hortonville WI to Annette Schilleman of Green Valley Wis who died July 3 1947. Surviving are two daughters and a son, Mrs Gustav Johnson of Omro and Mrs Ray Green and Milton Loper both of Antigo. Other survivors are a sister and two brothers, Mrs Jen Deuster of Fond du Lac, Frank Loper of Pontiac Mich and Harry B Loper of West DePere Wi; 13 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Two brothers Fred and Joseph are deceased. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday at the Soman & Rhodes funeral chapels where friends may call after 4pm Thursday. The Rev J Gordon Bennett of the Congregational church will officiate.

Funeral services for Charles E Loper 83, of 514 Dorr street who died Feb 19 were held at 2pm Feb 22 at the Sonan & Rhodes funeral chapels. The Rev J Gordon Bennett of the Congregational church officiated. Spring burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Attending the funeral from out of town were Harry B Loper of West DePere; Mr and Mrs GW Johnson of Omro; Mr and Mrs Keith Johnson of Mountain; Mr & Mrs Harry Aldert of Racine; Mr & Mrs Ronald Phillips of Waukesha; and Mrs Harold Rueger of Wausau.
