Born May 12, 1887, in Putnam County, he was the son of Mahlon and Maryanne (Cox) Rigg. He married Nellie Newton on Aug. 24, 1910 and she survives.
Also surviving are sons, Harold, Findlay, Gilbert and Lauren, Defiance, and Donald, Houston, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Alice Brecht, Defiance; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Mast and Mock Funeral Home, Defiance, with the Rev. Leland Quay officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Leipsic.
Visitation will be after 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
