Born in Harleysville, PA to the late Allen and Alice (Moyer) Clemmer.
Throughout her lifetime, Mary Ellen was a devoted mother and homemaker and helped her husband, Dayton, on the family farm. She worked at Peter Becker Community as a housekeeper and at the Family Heritage Bake Shop. Mary Ellen and her late husband shared their home with Penn View Christian school teachers for many years.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed crocheting doilies and rugs, sewing and made quilts and Afghans for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary Ellen dearly loved her family and was hospitable with the gift of serving others.
She was a member of Franconia Mennonite Church where she served as a former Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher and was part of the ladies sewing circle.
