MAN IS INSTANTLY KILLED WHEN HEAD TOUCHES LIVE WIRE
Carl G. Beebe was instantly killed when his head came in contact with a live wire in the Porphyry shaft of the Inspiration mine yesterday afternoon about 2:30 o'clock.
The deceased was a train helper and was crawling over one of the ore cars when he encountered the wire. His comrades went immediately to his assistance, but he was past all help.
Justice of the Peace W. C. McKenzie empaneled a jury and viewed the remains and the scene of the accident. The inquest will be held on Saturday at 3:30 o'clock.
The late Mr. Beebe leaves to mourn his loss his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.N. Beebe of Safford; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Cobb of Safford, Mrs. Fred Sutton of Los Angeles, Mrs. Kenneth Earl of Los Angeles; and three brothers, Calvin of Miami, Arthur of Safford, and Ray of Los Angeles.
The unfortunate man was 26 years of age and was born in Safford. He had lived in Miami for ten years.
His father and Roy Cobb arrived in Miami last night and arranged for the shipment of the body to Safford Saturday morning and burial in the family plot.
The Miles mortuary has charge of necessary arrangements.
