Walter was the son of Walter H. Sr., and Magda Juve. (Walt was in the First Special Service Force. It was a combined Canadian-American Commando group, and they were the fore-runners of the Green Berets who started in the Korean War. They had the nickname of "The Black Devils". He was killed in action during World War II while serving in France at the age of 21. When his father was told of his death, he suffered a heart attack and died also. Magda lived on untill 1990.
Walter was a Private from Ohio serving in the 2nd Regiment, First Special Service Force. He is buried in Rhone, Draguignan, France. The grave maker at Glendale in Akron is mearly symbolic.
