Donald L. "Toots" Casey, 86, of Sioux City died Mon. 11 Oct. 1999, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Fri., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Bruce A. Lawler officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m., with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Mr. Casey was born 12 Apr. 1913, in Murdoch, MN., the son of James & Veronica (Schaaf) Casey. He moved with his family to Sioux City in 1914. He attended Trinity High School in Sioux City.
He married Bonita M. Cantin on 1 July 1936, in Sioux City.
He began working for Milwaukee Railroad in 1934. He was employed as a store keeper with the railroad, retiring in 1973.
Survivors include his wife, Bonita; 5 sons; a brother, Kenneth of Sioux City; a sister, Kathleen Erwin of McCook Lake, SD.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, a sister, a grandson & a great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Mark, Frank, Tom, Pat, Mike & Don Casey.
