James W. Casey, 80, of Hayward, Calif. and formerly of Sioux City died Sunday in Hayward hospital.
Mr. Casey was born Dec. 3, 1906, at Murdock, Minn. He moved to Sioux City in 1917 and attended Central High School. He was employed by Armour and Co. in Sioux City as a machinist. When the Armour plant closed, he moved to California where he was employed by the Caterpillar Tractor Co.
His wife, the former Edna Owen, died in 1974 in Hayward.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter; two brothers Donald and Kenneth Casey, both of Sioux City; two sisters, Margaret Harbeck of Everett, Wash., and Kathleen Irwin of North Sioux City; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church at Hayward. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery under the direction of Machado's Hayward Funeral Home.
