Jewell "Sis" Farmer Korndoffer

Services for Jewell "Sis" Farmer Korndoffer will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009 in St. Timothy Episcopal Church with Rev. Walt Freese officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball under the direction of John Kramer & Son.

Jewell "Sis" Farmer Korndoffer, 83, of Alexandria, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in her daughter's residence.

Mrs. Korndoffer was a member of St. Timothy Episcopal Church where she was a member of the hot tamale group known as the "Hot Rollers".

She is preceded in death by her father, Luther Farmer; her mother, Jessie Rougeou Bielkiewicz; her husband, Prentiss William Korndoffer.; her brother, Joseph "Sonny" Famer and one sister, Mary Lou Farmer Urban.

Jewell Korndoffer is survived by: two children, Steve Foster of Alexandria; Ann Constance and her husband, Darrell of Ball; one brother, Jimmy Farmer and his wife, Sara of Monroe; one sister, Patsy Farmer Nichols of DeBerry, Texas; six grandchildren, Jennifer Malone and her husband, Patrick; Katie Littleton; Melissa Hagan and her husband, Jason; Jason Foster and his wife, Breigh; Amiee Foster; Chad Lazerone; two nieces, Sandra Farmer Hyde and her husband, Frank; Connie Wilson; two nephews, Mickey Urban and his wife, Brenda; Bobby Urban and his wife, Lynn; five great - grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 and from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Thursday at John Kramer & Son.

Pallbearers will be: Jason Paul Foster, Jason Hagan, Patrick Malone, Frank Hyde, Bobby Urban, Mickey Urban.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Naquin and Chad Lazerone.

Memorials are preferred to: St. Timothy Episcopal Church, 2627 Horseshoe Drive, Alexandria, LA 71303.

The family is grateful to Lisa and Ritha and the entire staff of St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care of our mother.
