Services for Thomas D. 'Tommy' Wright, 57, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2001, at First Baptist Church of Bamberg with Rev. David Pohto and Rev. Perry Malphrus officiating. Burial will be in Bamberg Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening, November 23, 2001, at Mercer Funeral Home in Denmark. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Mr. Wright died November 22, 2001, at his home. Born in Denmark, he was a son of the late Julian B. Wright and Almina Bishop Wright. He was a graduate of Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School and attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bamberg and was the owner and operator of Colonial Cleaners in Denmark and Barnwell. Surviving are his wife, Barbra Ayer Wright of Ehrhardt; son, Clayton Wright of Bamberg; grandson, Kevin Christopher Wright of Bamberg; sisters, Patrica W. Chitty of Denmark, Jane W.
