She grew up in Montana, married James Corocoran February 8, 1951 in Seattle and lived there for a number of years, until moving to Minnesota in 1967. She was very well known for her cooking in hospitals and restaurants. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, caring for her pets, and was a strong willed person who enjoyed debating. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic church, Grand Portage.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim in 1994; sons, Gerald D. Lynch,and Terry W. Lynch; step-sons: Michael G. Corcoran, and William J. Corcoran; brothers, Earl and Geroge and sisters Gladys and June.
She is survived by daughters: Debbie (Norman) Deschampe, and Mary Ann (Tom) Scheier; step-children: James P. (Debbie) Corcoran, and Dawn (Phil) Carter; siblings: Orval Hunter, Mae Engelbritson, and Evelyn Lash; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
