Josephine E. Helm, 83, Independence, died March 15, 1994, at the Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be at noon Friday at the Fairmount Christian Church; burial in Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Carson Independence Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Josephine Helm memorial fund in care of the church. Mrs. Helm was born in Nettleton, MO., and lived in Independence most of her life. She was a licensed practical nurse at the Northeast Osteopathic Hospital, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Joy Bell Choir and the Christian Women's Fellowship at the church. Her husband, James T. Helm, died in 1985. Survivors include, Margaret Jaman, Independence; three brothers, James Potts, Toccoa, GA., Robert Potts, Raymore in Cass County, and Harold Potts, Breckenridge, MO.; a sister, Mary Campbell, Hamilton, MO.; and two grandchildren.
