COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Alma Ann Allen, 84, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tues., Aug. 10, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, Mon., Aug. 9, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Allen died on Fri., Aug. 6, 1999, in Indiana.

She was born on April 22, 1915, in Jackson County to the late James Franklin and Luna Boyd Allen. Mrs. Allen retired in 1980 from Gott Lict & Co., where she was an assembler. She was a member of Cookeville Church of God.

Her family includes two sons, Warren Allen of Plainfield, Ind., and Jimmy Allen of Illinois; four sisters, Lola Thackston of Cookeville, Edna Lee of Chicago, Ill., Ava Wilson of Cicero, Ill., and Alene Stevens of Florida; and a brother, Lowery Allen of Franklin, Ky.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmy Lee, J.B., Mack Kenneth and Lee Allen; and a sister, Lena Gentry.

Pastor Larry Keith will officiate at the services.
