Dorcas P. Heichel, 98, Altoona, died Weds., at Altoona Hospital. She was born in Clearfield, to Bernard & Myrtle (Buck) Young. She married Wilford Mark Heichel April 10, 1930, in Clearfield, and he died Oct. 9, 1982. Survived by daughters: Rose A. Powers, Morrisville and Patsy L. Moore, Altoona, with whom she resided; 2 grandchildren: Kathy Polski & Jeffrey Berendt; 5 gr. grandchildren: Stacy Pesce & husband, Andrew; John Mark Berendt; Jason Berendt; Joshua Berendt & Richelle Polski; and brother, Fay Young & wife, Maxine, Duncansville. Predeceased by grandson, Gerald Berendt; and her siblings. Dorcas was a graduate of Clearfield High School. She attended church services at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, music, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Altoona. Interment, Bradford Memorial Cemetery, Woodland.
