Lloyd Brown Moffat, 77, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at his home in Farr West surrounded by his family.
Graveside services were Monday, May 7, at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park, Ogden.
He was born June 5, 1923 in Smoot to Lula May Brown and James Theodore Maffat.
Lloyd was raised in Smoot and attended Star Valley High School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after over 28 years, where he served during WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
He married Helen Moore, and they later divorced. He then married Beverly Hansen.
Lloyd was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Lloyd enjoyed working in his yard, visiting Star Valley and being with his family.
He traveled extensively during his air Force career and retired to Layton, Ogden and Farr West.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly Hansen; four sons, Riley, Ken, Ted, Charley; one daughter, Kathy Young, one brother Ted; seven sisters, Rita Berg, Ruby Henefer, margaret Henderson, Dorothy Lunt, Mary Lou Cronquist, Edna Jones, Patsy Kay; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Blaine Moffat and one sister Thelma Robinson.
