Anthony James Funderburk (alias) Andrew Jackson Funderburk. Atleast two sons are buried there with him: John R. Funderburk (oldest son from 1st marriage to Priscilla Duncan) and son, H.C. (Henry Clay). Other relatives are believed to be buried there as well. Another son, David R. Funderburk (David K. on the headstone) is buried with wife Samantha and relatives at neighboring New Hope cemetery. Funderburks held lands where Wind Creek park is now. They sold those lands to the Russell Family who then sold the land to the State of Alabama as Lake Martin was being backed up and created. The Russell family eventually established the famed Russell Corporation (Textiles).
