James "Butch" Adams, 70, of Grand Ridge, and formerly of Streator, passed away Monday afternoon, July 19, at St. Mary's Hospital.
A private family visitation will be Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator. Serving as pallbearers will be Sonny and Adam Sorenson, John Kettman and Guy, Luke and Guy Jr. Sanders.
James was born Aug. 5, 1939, in Streator, to Chester and Ruby (Shull) Adams.
Surviving are nieces, Mary Jo (Roy) Sorenson, Grand Ridge, and Julie (Guy) Sanders of New Lenox; nephews, Frank and Jim Kettman of Streator and John Kettman of La Salle; great-nieces, Katie (Dustin) Looney and Kayla Kettman; and great-nephews, Adam Sorenson, Guy Sanders Jr. and Luke Sanders.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Kettman.
James was retired from Anthony Truck Body Manufacturing and attended St. Mary's Grade school and Streator Township High School.
