Terri Lyn Schall, age 36, of Newark, DE, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 20, 2010.
Born in Denver, IA, on April 11, 1974, Terri was a graduate of St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA, where she received her bachelor's degree in athletic training. In Delaware, she accepted a position with Premier Physical Therapy and would go on to work as an athletic trainer in the sports program at Middletown High School. She greatly enjoyed the challenge of guiding her student athletes and was always very proud of their progress.
Well known and admired for her lifelong commitment to helping others, Terri also served as an EMT Firefighter for the past six years with the Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company in Newark.
She will be remembered most of all as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, who delighted in caring for and spending time with her beloved family.
She is survived by her husband, A.J. Schall, Jr., her sons, A.J. Schall III and Nathan Schall, her parents, Norbert Fliss and Rosemary (Sage) Fliss, and her sister, Mary Olmsted.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Friday, July 23, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Saturday, July 24, at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Terri may be made to the "Terri Schall Memorial Education Fund," c/o Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE 19711.
