4/18/1927 Ottawa Farmer Drowns In Flood (Monday) Miami, April 17 – Jesse Farley, 50 years old, was drowned Saturday afternoon in flood water of the Neosho river at Wyandotte. Body was recovered. He was attempting to cross the swollen stream on horseback to aid motorists blocked by the flood. Farley was a leader in Ottawa county agriculture, having served on the Ottawa county fair board.
