Our Dad, Lewis Wilbert Baucom born November 27, 1919, in Napoleon, Missouri, to James W. Baucom and Laura E. Ellis, passed away, in Thousand Oaks, California, peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at 1:40 a.m. to join his beloved wife, Betty Pringle Baucom, who went before him. He was dearly loved by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His love, wit, great sense of family, and his ability to fix almost anything, along with his uncanny ability to win at any cribbage game, will be missed by all. Lewis worked at Lockheed Aircraft, and retired from LA City College as a machinist. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was very proud to be a WWII veteran of the 5th Army Air Corps and member of the VFW Post 11508. He is survived by his four children and their spouses: daughter, Judith and husband Steven Williams of Truckee, California, daughter, Mrs. Patricia Chambers of Spokane, Washington, son, Timothy and wife Debra of Reno, Nevada, and daughter, Kathleen and husband Robert Koepke of Mesa, Arizona; nine grandchildren and their spouses, and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday March 20, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at the Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery located at 22600 Lassen St., Chatsworth, CA 91311.
