GIRARD, GA – Dec. 13 – Funeral services for Samuel J. Odom, 79, who died at his residence here yesterday, will be held tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 11 o'clock at the Bethany Methodist church with the Rev. C.L. Nease officiating. Interment will follow in churchyard.

Active pallbearers will be A.J. Brigham, Julian Odom, J.D. Lovett, Eugene McGregory, Robert Odom and Herbert Odom.

Honorary pallbearers will be J.R.Odom, W.K. Godbee, M.S. Hillis, W.L. McElmurray, J.S. Hillis, A.D. Daniel, M.C. Oliver, H.M. Blount, C.E. McGregor, Dr. W.W. Hillis, John A. Blount and J.B. Odom.

Mr. Odom is survived by one son, H.B. Odom, Girard; four daughters, Mrs. Mamie Odom Bonnell, Sardis; Mrs. S.R. Chance, Perkins, and Mrs. N.N.Mallard and Mrs. J.B. Buxton, Girard; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harvey Odom, Augusta; and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Brigham, Waynesboro, and Mrs. Melvina Heath, Augusta.
