From the FAMILY BIBLE OF COLONEL ISAAC MOTTE:
Alexander Broughton Motte (22 Nov 1779-25 May 1813), child of Col. Isaac and Mary Broughton Motte, grandson of Alexander and Mary Broughton, of Kibbleworth, of the parish of St. Johns Berkeley is buried at the chapel cemetery.
Alexander Broughton Motte, second child of Isaac and Mary Motte, was born the 22nd November 1779 at 6 o'clock in the evening. Was privately baptized at Mulberry by the Rev. Mr. Sam'l Hart, Rector of the Parish of St. John, Berkeley County, the 27th August, 1780.
