YORK, CARL C. - age 88 of Clinton, TN passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospice in Knoxville, Tn. He was a member of Farmers Grove Baptist Church and was an Army Veteran having served in World War II. He retired as a steam plant operator at Oak Ridge National Laboratory X-10. Mr. York is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Foster York; parents, John and Eva Sexton York, and son, Duane York. Survivors include son, Dennis and wife Teresa York of Clinton, TN; sister, Edna Blair of Clinton, TN; daughter-in-law, Una York of Clinton, TN; grandchildren, Brian, Kristal, Eric and Stacy York and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral following at 8:00 PM with Rev. Elmer Wright. Graveside services will be October 11th at 2:00 PM at Taylors Chapel Cemetery in Clinton.
